'Fable 2 Pub Games' edges out 'Braid' for top sales in a knock down, drag out fight, by garnering 55,886 new users for the week. Bionic Commando: Rearmed saw incredible sales as well with 48,295 u

What a week! Words cannot accurately express how big this week is in terms of sales. The closest comparison would be a football game between Texas Tech and Hawaii - You know that whoever wins, it's going to be a high-scoring game, and this week certainly was the champ.
Fable 2 Pub Games stole the show in terms of total downloads, with a brilliant 55,000+ opening. This beat Geometry Wars 2 's opening by 7,453 units. Of course, Fable 2 leading should (obviously) be taken with a truckload of salt. The game is available free by preordering Fable 2, and receiving a code to unlock the game. So it's very unlikely that it saw the kind of sales Braid and Bionic Commando saw this week. Nevertheless: 55,000 units is very impressive, and will help to have a rough estimate on Fable 2 preorders (Pub game sales / 0.60). This would put preorders around 93,000 units, and growing. Obviously not everyone has preordered it yet, and the deal is still available to my knowledge.
Braid had an incredible increase of 91.6% over last week's 3-day cume. This number is incredible, because of the massive amount of sales Braid did last week ($430,00 in Gross Revenue). Although I do not have a chart, it's going to be very difficult for any game in the near future to beat it's $820,000 Gross Revenue for the 7-day period. This speaks volumes about consumer reception for Braid. In 2 weeks, Braid is now a mere $50,000 away from Geometry Wars 2 - an incredible feat given the reception Geometry Wars 2 has received. Look for Braid's drop next week. It will be very telling as to where it's headed. If it can score below a 60% drop next week, it is the continuation of a monster, and looks to run through the $2,000,000 mark.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed, despite being in 3rd place, shouldn't feel too bad about it's positioning. It sold an incredible number of units in the 3-day period, reaching the #3 spot on the best first week chart. It was almost a statistical tie with Geometry Wars 2, which bodes incredibly well for Rearmed in the future. Expect gangbuster sales next week - could it top the 56,000 mark, and beat Geometry Wars 2's cume last week?
Geometry Wars 2 drops to 4th place this week....Has there ever been a time that 4th place wasn't so bad? Geometry Wars 2 had another impressive week, and beat my expectations, posting a 56% drop from last week. 150,000 units for it's first month looks very attainable, as it only has another 20,000 units to sell in 2 weeks.
In other news, the rest of the market posted solid gains, with the Big 4 spearheading the growth. With over 300,000 units, it is the 6th best week XBLA has had since we began tracking in November. However, many of the weeks above it were attained through the free Undertow promotion in January.
Finally, the E3 games Coffeetime Crosswords, Live Draft Tracker, and Double D Dodgeball finished their first full month on the market. All were very pitiful in terms of overall sales, and rank at the bottom of the charts for best first month. The ray of light? EA Sport's Live Draft Tracker was in thhe Top 60 this week at #56, and over 700 units sold. This bodes well for the product, and should see continued sales throughout the fall, with Football season starting up.
Next Week: Galga Legions
I don't think I'm going to bother with a prediction for it, as the Summer of Arcade has obviously killed my predictions. I still think it will debut under 20,000. But for all I know, it'll sell over 40,000 with the way everything is going.
