Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Tops 1m Units in Five Days

Vgchartz preliminary data shows that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has debuted to sales of over 1m units worldwide since its release on September 16. The strong debut comes despite mixed reviews.

The plurality of sales in the Americas was on the Xbox 360, while sales in “Others” were more evenly distributed between the platforms, and smaller overall than Americas sales.

When possible, we’ll have more preliminary data on top selling software for the fall to Christmas period.

Update:

A press release posted on IGN says the game has sold 1.5m units worldwide, over one third of the 4.3m copies shipped.
