- For the first time since August, Super Mario Bros. 3 tops the charts, remaining by far the most popular title available on the Virtual Console. In two more weeks, it will finally pass Super Mario Bros. in lifetime sales, overcoming the latter title's head start of nearly a year.
- Super Dodge Ball has an unexpectedly high debut, though it likely won't remain in the top 20 three weeks from now.
- Among other recent releases, Mega Man 2 slides back to 3rd, and Super Mario RPG down to 5th. The original Mega Man is all the way down to 12th now.
- No first-day sales are available for new release Super Turrican 2.

- The main story for this week is Mega Man 9, which had by far the biggest debut on WiiWare to date, and in one week is already third in lifetime sales (behind My Pokemon Ranch and Defend Your Castle) and in lifetime revenue (behind My Pokemon Ranch and FFCC: My Life As a King). It's sales are likely to be very front-loaded, but it should still stay in first place for several weeks.
- Plattchen Twist 'n' Paint didn't even crack the top 20 this week (among only 31 WiiWare games), despite the price drop to $10 for its American launch. Guess the price wasn't the only concern about this game -- though Mega Man 9 would've overshadowed it in any case.
- First day sales for Bomberman Blast are about 4500, while those for Art Style: Orbient were too low to measure. Anyone figure out what kind of game Orbient is yet?
Thanks to elgefe02 for collecting the raw data for Canada and Latin America this week!
