XBLA Sales Charts - Week Ending 11/22/08

Avatar-fueled 'A Kingdom for Keflings' has a surprise debut at #1 with 27,500 units. Banjo Kazooie, Castle Crashers, and Worms HD all have decent spots on the return to Weekly charts.

Ah, we're back with a weekly look at sales.

This week, we saw NXE launch on Wednsday, the 19th re-inventing what Xbox Live is capable of, as well as a more user-friendly UI. Will this lead to sales increases for languishing XBLA games? If Kingdom of Kefling's debut is any indication, things may be headed for greener pastures for Microsoft's service.

In it's debut, Kingdom for Keflings scored 27,550 units - putting it just below 'Braid's debut at 28,524 units. This is impressive given Ninja Bee's track record with XBLA - they are an exceptional XBLA developer. Unfortunately, sales, from my point of view, haven't followed. They're my favorite developer, so this is well-deserved.

Otherwise, sales was similar to what it has been over the past month - Nothing seems up a whole lot since NXE launched, but it's only been a few days, so NXE changes haven't had a major effect yet. What does seem, however, to of changed is the variance in Uno's positioning between our own charts and Major Nelson's - Uno is very high on our list, which may be telling of how well the Arcade Xbox 360 is selling.
