A screenshot shows Mario, Sonic, Luigi and Amy Rose racing around a track in in a bobsleigh. To control your team of four, you can sit on your Balance Board and steer by shifting you weight from left to right. You'll also be able to play the game if you don't have a Balance Board.

Other confirmed events so far include alpine skiing, snowboarding and, as you can see in the other new screenshot, speed skating.
