NewsMicrosoft Working to Bring Project Natal to WindowsBy Shern Foo 15th Jul 2009
Last month at E3, everyone was buzzing about Project Natal for the Xbox 360. It seems that Microsoft does not want to stop there and are already working out how to bring it into Windows PCs. All this according to Bill Gates in a recent interview with CNET. Gates: Well, I think the value is as great for if you're in the home, as you want to manage your movies, music, home system type stuff, it's very cool there. And I think there's incredible value as we use that in the office connected to a Windows PC. So Microsoft research and the product groups have a lot going on there, because you can use the cost reduction that will take place over the years to say, "Why shouldn't that be in most office environments?"
So, home and office applications in Windows will potentially use Project Natal in the future, but we want to see some games first! No release dates or announcements yet, we wait for more news to come.
