According to preliminary VGChartz data, FIFA 10 has become the fastest-selling Electronic Arts game of all-time in Europe, selling over 1.35 million copies in just two days - over 800,000 of which were in the UK alone. PS3 and Xbox 360 were the lead formats with around 51% and 39% of total sales respectively.

The previous game in the series, FIFA 09 sold 990,000 copies in the same timeframe, while FIFA 08 sold 720,000. With the rise in popularity over the last few years of FIFA, it is now EA's most successful yearly sports title - overtaking Madden NFL, the latest version of which sold 1.25 million in two days back in August.

In terms of all-time European launches, only Grand Theft Auto IV (360/PS3 - 2.03m) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2 - 1.38m) can claim bigger launches.
