NewsNintendo: Wii Sales Up 85% in America Since Price CutBy Constantine Mishin-Lutzky 30th Nov 2009
The Wii's recent price cut sure has achieved what Nintendo wanted it to achieve... a major climb in sales out of the "slump" (ha, ha) that the Wii was in. All that according to Nintendo of America's infamous executive vice president of sales and marketing, Cammie Dunaway. These news seem very much relevant in the wake of a recent Black Friday. Then again, I'd rather call them a simple statement... as everyone who had keenly followed the chartz for the recent few months is not oblivious to the climb. Besides, where have you heard of a price cut that didn't stimulate sales? It's nice to have a rather solid number, though. There is not a whole lot to say beside that, really. Source: Kotaku |
